Fast Forward for Concurrent Enrollment

Advanced Opportunities – Fast Forward

The Fast Forward program provides every student in grades 7-12 attending an Idaho public school an allocation of $4,125 in state funding to use toward Advanced Opportunities. The funds can be used for overload courses, dual credits, and college credit-bearing exams such as Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), College Level Examination Program (CLEP), or Career and Technical Education (CTE) exams.

To learn more about Advanced Opportunities, contact your high school counselor or visit the Advanced Opportunities website.

To take advantage of this funding opportunity, you must complete course registration with Boise State University to enroll in the class AND apply for funding through the Idaho Department of Education’s Advanced Opportunities (Fast Forward) web portal.

If you are registering for courses in Boise State’s Concurrent Enrollment program and want to use Fast Forward funding, follow these steps below:

Step 1: Register

Complete the course registration process with Boise State University. See our How To Apply web page for more information.

Step 2: Apply for Fast Forward

Contact your counselor about applying for funding because instructions and funding request deadlines can vary by school district. Each school district will have information about how to access the portal along with corresponding deadlines.

To learn more about Advanced Opportunities and access the student portal, visit the Advanced Opportunities website.

Boise State will work with your school district to apply Fast Forward funds to your myBoiseState account. Keep in mind that it can take several months for your funding to be applied to your myBoiseState account. It is important to review your student records in myBoiseState to make sure funds have been properly applied.
