Summer Tuition Discount for Regular Fee-Based Programs

With our new summer tuition discount, summer classes are even more affordable!

Idaho Residents: Effective Summer 2019, the summer course per credit rate is 20% less than the fall and spring per credit rate. Summer 2019 resident tuition and fees are only $280/credit for undergraduate-level courses and $355/credit for graduate-level courses.

Non-Residents: Effective Summer 2019, the summer course per credit rate is over 50% less than the fall and spring per credit rate. The summer non-resident tuition and fees are only $315/credit for undergraduate-level courses and $390/credit for graduate-level courses.

We encourage students to take summer courses to graduate faster; however, enrolling in summer courses will not change your fees for fall and spring courses. Note: Alternative fee programs and courses with special fees are excluded from the summer discount. Detailed information about course fees can be found in the individual course listing in myBoiseState.

Follow the steps below to get started in the Boise State Summer Program.

  • If you are an active Boise State student, you can enroll in summer classes through myBoiseState beginning February 19.
  • If you are a new or returning student (who has sat out for at least 2 years), below are your steps to enroll in summer classes.

1. Apply for Admission to Boise State

The first step to becoming a summer student at Boise State University is to apply.
If you attended Boise State during the Summer of 2017 or later and did not graduate, you do not need to reapply.

3. Pay Summer Fees

The fees for summer programs are figured on a per-credit-hour basis. Please note that some courses have extra fees (lab, workshop, telecommunication) in addition to regular per-credit course fees. Please check the course schedule and verify fees at your time of registration.
